TITLE: Accounts Receivable Clerk

REPORTS TO: Finance Director
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt; Part-time
LOCATION: On-site
SALARY RANGE: $20 to $22 per hour, depending on experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for processing, verifying and posting receipts for services rendered or merchandise sold. Responsible for ensuring all incoming payments are received and processed.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Process accounts receivables and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, such as verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
  • Prepare invoices
  • Actively investigate and resolve irregularities in payments
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with customers on overdue amounts and ensure timely payments
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending reminders and contacting clients
  •  Maintain accurate customer information in the accounting software
  • Work with other departments as needed
  • Communicate with customers regarding payment status and resolve clients’ billing issues and questions
  • Assistance with additional accounting related functions including year-end audit, as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in accounting; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Two years experience in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online a plus
  • the ability to work with a diverse community
  • Excellent time management and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace
  • Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers
  • Some nights and weekends may be required during TRL events

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Work is performed in a typical office setting
