Marisa Ramirez Stukey, Ph.D., is the Chief Academic Officer for The Reading League and Content Editor for The Reading League Press. In these roles, she leads academic strategy and professional learning initiatives, while overseeing the development of high-quality content aligned with the science of reading to advance evidence-based literacy instruction nationwide.

Marisa brings more than 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, higher education instructor, and national consultant. A nationally recognized expert in literacy, professional learning, and systems change, her work centers on designing professional learning systems that integrate the science of learning with effective reading instruction. She is the co-author of Professional Learning Redesigned: An Evidence-Based Guide, published by Corwin Press.

Marisa holds a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis on teacher education and professional learning, as well as a master’s degree in reading education from the University of Florida.
