The Reading League Announces Pasik as Professional Development Coordinator

TRL Professional Development Department expands due to growing demand.

SYRACUSE, NY – The Reading League announces Jessica Pasik as its new Professional Development Coordinator.

Jessica Pasik is a licensed New York state reading specialist with a Masters of Science in Literacy Education from SUNY Oswego where she is currently an Adjunct Professor of Literacy. Pasik previously received her Bachelor of Science degree in Childhood Education from the SUNY Geneseo and is certified in elementary and special education grades K-6. She formerly taught special education at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES and the Fulton City School District. She is also a private tutor and is a passionate advocate for evidence-based practices in reading instruction. 

The announcement comes as demand for The Reading League’s professional development services is rapidly increasing. The Reading League has ongoing professional development partnerships with more than 50 school districts in the United States and Canada. It works with schools to design learning plans that suit their needs, calendars, and budgets. Formats may include face-to-face and virtual professional development sessions, virtual coaching, and regular strategic meetings with instructional leaders.
