The Reading League Virginia is excited to bring Dr. Molly Ness for this 3-part book study. On November 17 and January 7 Dr. Ness will discuss the process of orthographic mapping. The book explains the process by which readers embed words into their long-term memories, and the instruction necessary to help K-5 students do just that. Teachers will learn how to connect decoding, encoding, and meaning through a four-step, research-based, classroom-tested routine that accelerates students’ abilities to lift words off the page and capture them in reading and writing.
Following the two-part book study, Dr. Ness has graciously offered a unique opportunity for registrants to attend an office hours-style Q&A session during the week of April 13.
Additionally, once registered for this book study you will receive a confirmation email that includes a discount code for your copy of the book!
